Darnell Williams began his dance training as a competitive dancer in the Washington D.C , Maryland, and Virginia area and later attended Towson University on Scholarship and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography. He has also trained at the Ailey School Summer Intensive and Broadway Dance Center. His professional credits include VTDance (Baltimore, MD), Ballet ADI (Rockville, MD), ELSCO Dance (New York, NY), wandering movers (New York, NY), and the Tony Award Winning Broadway Musical After Midnight on Norwegian Cruise Lines. He’ has also done work performing for Nintendo, DC Tap Festival, the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, and Dancing with the Stars Horry County. Darnell's choreography has been presented at multiple dance competitions on the national and regional levels winning multiple top score awards, and was also selected to be presented at the 2016 Mid-Atlantic Region American College Dance Association Conference. He is the recipient of multiple scholarships and awards including the Franklin And Alice Cooley Scholarship for Fine Arts and the Towson University Award for Outstanding Choreography. Currently, Darnell is a company member with ELSCO Dance Company under the direction of Ellenore Scott, wandering movers under he direction of Kevin Ortega-Rojas, and XY Dance Project under the direction of Nijawwon Matthews. He also still continues his work as a freelance artist New York City.
